Kazakh Scientists at SETAC Europe 2025
Within the framework of the PCF project "BR24992867 – Development of Resource-Saving Technologies for the Improvement and Management of Kazakhstan’s Water Sector and Processing Industry, Establishment of an Innovative Engineering Center", the lead researcher Marzhan Kalmakhanova delivered a presentation at the SETAC Europe 2025 international conference, held in Vienna, Austria.
Her presentation emphasized the critical importance of water and the need to implement advanced technologies to tackle the growing issue of emerging pollutants in the environment.
The presented work is the result of a joint international collaboration between Dulaty University (Kazakhstan), the University of Nebraska (USA), and the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (Portugal). The project highlights the vital role of interdisciplinary and cross-border cooperation in addressing global environmental challenges.
The conference gathered more than 2,700 scientists from around the world, with 450 scientific works accepted for oral and poster presentations. Among them were the research outcomes conducted under the PCF project.
