A one-week business trip was organized at the base of CIQTEK company

In 2025, a one-week business trip was organized to Hefei city, People’s Republic of China, at the facilities of CIQTEK. Within the framework of the visit, a specialized training course on the operation of the modern analytical instrument, the Automatic BET Surface Area & Porosimetry Analyzer, was conducted under the guidance of a foreign engineer.

The training program was attended by Marzhan Kalmakhanova, PhD, Head of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Technology; Aizhan Serikbayeva, Senior Lecturer; Ulzhan Kanatbek, Master’s student; Professor Hélder Gomes; and Yerbol Reimbayev, a first-year PhD student.

During the training, the theoretical fundamentals of the BET method for determining the specific surface area and porosity of materials were thoroughly reviewed, and practical skills in operating the instrument were successfully acquired. This business trip contributed to enhancing the participants’ professional qualifications, strengthening their research capacity, and promoting international academic cooperation.
