Completed a research internship at Complutense University

From October to November 2024, Kurtebayeva Assel Amantayevna completed a research internship at Complutense University in Madrid, Spain, as part of the BR24992867 project, "Development of resource-saving technologies for the development and management of the water sector and processing industry in Kazakhstan, establishment of an innovative engineering centre". During the internship, work was carried out to obtain the characteristics of adsorption and membrane materials using BET, SEM, thermogravimetric analysis, elemental analysis and infrared spectroscopy methods. Membranes based on activated carbons and clays were also synthesized. The membranes were tested in the adsorption of new-generation pollutants from aqueous solutions. In addition, the possibility of membrane regeneration by catalytic wet peroxide oxidation was studied. A scientific article was prepared based on the results of the work.
